Dave O'Farrell is a career coach and an outplacement consultant. He has dedicated most of his adult life helping people achieve their goals. While he was still in high school, he coached a little league hockey team; in college he was a youth advisor at church. As a sales manager in his 20's, he trained salespeople that were more than twice his age. Now he helps coach little league baseball.

Sixteen years in the career management business as a a staff member at one of the world's three largest career management firms, as a volunteer, and as an independent career management consultant; Dave has worked with well over 4,000 people in transition.
Seven years at Drake Beam Morin (DBM) as a client, workshop trainer, individual career consultant, project consultant and national account manager. Dave's top five clients at DBM were Delta Air Lines, UPS, CIBA Vision, First Data and Kimberly-Clark.
Nine years as Director of JobSeekers of Peachtree City. Close to 2,000 people have benefited from this ministry in the past seven years. In addition to being a dynamic facilitator at 48 meetings each year, Dave publishes a weekly newsletter that is distributed to over 1,800 people in the community.
Three years as a Senior Training Consultant for Richardson. Richardson is a Philadelphia-based sales training and consulting company; the top five clients Dave worked with were: Dell, Bank of America, Sears, GlaxoSmithKline and KPMG Consulting. Since job search is a specialized from of sales, these skills transfer very easily.
Nine years as an independent career consultant providing individual (executive) career transition services through his company, O'Farrell Career Management. Dave works with clients at all organizational levels; he regularly works with six-figure clients into and above the $250K range.
Early Career and Affiliations
Dave began his career with a company that supplies engineering services and equipment to the heavy construction industry. As a one of the youngest sales people in the history of the company, he placed in the top 12% of the worldwide sales force. At the age of 28, he was promoted to a management role where he was responsible for sales, engineering and field service operations in a five state region. In his last year as district manager, he finished second out of 18 districts worldwide.
Dave graduated with honors from Southern Polytechnic State University (SPSU) in Marietta, Georgia where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. He is a former member of the Georgia Chapter of the National Speakers Association (NSA Georgia) and the Atlanta Chapter of ASTD (ASTD Atlanta), where he served in many leadership roles including VP of Member Services. He is currently active in the Atlanta chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM Atlanta).
